I am confident that you will not need to buy any product after you read this article.
I will tell you what google search engine optimization is not before I tell you what it is.
Google search engine optimization
Google search engine optimization or SEO (search engine advertising) is not as complicated as you think it is. Yes, when you speak to an SEO company that offers search engine submission, they may make it all sound very complicated.
In a way, it is complicated, which is my real point. It is so complicated that no amount of SEO tools, SEO software, or SEO service can influence the process.
It's almost like predicting the weather. Before stepping out of the house, you can switch on the television, accessing hundreds of television programmes; go on the internet and visit many websites, and get detailed weather report. Yet, you know very well that your guess is as good as mine when it comes to knowing whether it will rain.
Whether it is website optimization or getting your article to rank in top 10 on Google, nothing can prepare you for the complicated science that internet marketing is.
Search engines are as unfathomable as weather and no amount of SEO training can help deliver high traffic to your article, hub or website.
Why?
Because of two reasons.
First, the variables are too many to be controllable.
Second, your competition is changing constantly. Millions of new articles are being published as you read this. They are constantly being indexed.
Third, and the most important point is this. Google is constantly changing the way it ranks its search results.
As search engine marketing keeps getting sophisticated, so do Google search engines.
Google is constantly trying to keep its search results relevant to its readers. Which is why Google spends millions of dollars to counter the "unnatural" efforts of SEO companies, writers and internet marketers that try to influence search results.
Are you still with me? Great. I hope I have sufficiently disillusioned you. Now, it's time to get excited.
Now let's look at the basic principle behind website or getting more traffic.
In the last part of this article, I will share some of the search engine optimization tips that I have learnt based on my online experience since 2004. One of my hubs made it to not just the first page of Google, but also to the first ranking in less than two weeks of publication.
Google search engine optimization tips
Most of the tips you will read below will sound counterintuitive if you have been reading a lot about SEO tools, SEO sotware, internet marketing or search engine submission.
My approach is going back to basics. Don't rely on short cuts. Yes, most SEO tools are shortcuts. It is also a short term strategy. Even if you succeed in bringing people to your article or drive traffic to your website, they will be disappointed if they don't find what they came there looking for. Would you rather have high traffic that's irrelevant, but less traffic that's better targetted?
In short, educate yourself with SEO basics. Understand what keywords are, learn how search engines work, find out what will get you a good page ranking. All those factors are important. But don't it overshadow your main objective - to get your content to your readers.
Here are my top SEO tips that are guaranteed to succeed in the long run.
1. Focus on content. The best strategy for Search Engine Optimization is to create quality content. Write highly relevant content. If you are very focussed on your topic, then important key words will automatically appear in your article.
2. Write longer copy: The longer your article, better it is likely to rank because it is likely to have more keywords. It will have more "relevant" keywords. It will have more "related" keywords. There is no rule as to how long. I would say, 500 is minimum, 800 is good, 1000 is excellent.
3. Focus: If you are an expert on a topic, you are likely to know a lot about it. If you try to fit in everything, your writing will be diffused. Just pick one small segment of your expertise, and write an article on it. For example, I am a trained insurance underwriter, and I have expertise in everything from aviation insurance to cattle insurance (really). If I write one article to cover all of that, then I will not get ranked well for insurance marketing. Instead if I just picked one small area, and wrote a long article, Google search engines will find it easier to rank me. Maybe an article about "Insurance marketing: How to Sell Health Insurance to firemen?"
4. Try to include related keywords. Yes, if you are writing about tea, then you might want to include coffee and soft drinks as your related key words. It just makes Google's job easier.
5. Include your keywords in title, URL, sub-heading and first sentence. These are the most important areas. That's half of your SEO in one tip.
6. Create links. There are 4 types of links - internal (inbound and outbound), and external (inbound and outbound). All these links are extremely important. These links are like online voting. Make sure you have plenty of internal links - other pages on your website linking to your article. Work on getting external links - your article links to authoritative external sites, and established external sites link to your article.
7. The final tip is easiest probably. Improve user experience by including images (make sure your images are named after your keywords if relevant), videos and presentation slides.
By the way, did I mention content is king?

Very good article. I like what you said, "Even if you succeed in bringing people to your article or drive traffic to your website, they will be disappointed if they don't find what they came there looking for. Would you rather have high traffic that's irrelevant, but less traffic that's better targetted?"
This is so important. Thanks for sharing.
